Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Grenoble, France, Verkor specialises in high-performance, low-carbon batteries for electric mobility and stationary energy storage. Backed by a strong ecosystem of industrial, financial and institutional partners, the company is helping build a competitive and sustainable battery industry in France and Europe.

Verkor combines innovation with large-scale manufacturing across two complementary sites. The Verkor Innovation Centre (VIC), operational in Grenoble since 2023, brings together technology development, industrial process validation and training.

In Bourbourg, Dunkirk, Verkor’s Gigafactory, inaugurated in December 2025, marks the company’s transition to large-scale battery cell production. With a target annual capacity of 16 GWh, the site is expected to create 1,200 direct jobs at full capacity.

Through its people, technological expertise and industrial capabilities, Verkor is strengthening the European battery value chain and supporting the transition to low-carbon mobility.
